Ylläs KIDS Areas
The Ylläs KIDS areas are located on both sides of the fell! The KIDS areas are dedicated areas designed especially for children and beginner skiers and snowboarders.
Ylläs KIDS South (Ylläs KIDS area in Ylläsjärvi)
The area features a new covered magic carpet lift, an easy slope for practising, and exciting tubing and sledding hills. Tubes and sleds are also available for use in the area. At the lean-to shelter you can enjoy a break and grill sausages during a winter day. Area offers joy, outdoor time, and experiences for the whole family.
Ylläs KIDS North (Ylläs KIDS area in Äkäslompolo)
Here you will find magic carpet and rope lifts, a tow carousel for practising gliding and the correct skiing position, soft figures for fun technique exercises, and, of course, a sledding hill with sleds. The area also has its own warm hut where you can take a break and enjoy your packed lunch or snacks.
You can access the KIDS areas with any valid lift pass, or you can purchase a separate pass specifically for the KIDS area. Please note that separate KIDS area passes are only valid on the side of the fell where they were purchased.
The KIDS areas are open daily according to the lift operating hours.
