Use these trail descriptions to choose the routes that best suit you and your skill level.
1. Training track 0,3 km
The Training Track starts from the top of the magic carpet lift Vekkuli. It’s a gentle trail, ideal for children and beginners. It introduces the basics of downhill biking and helps riders get familiar with cornering and riding over rollers. The trail is surrounded by soft, grassy terrain, making it safe and forgiving. Can be ridden with basic cycling skills.
2. Party Starter 0,3 km
The little sibling of the Ylläs Flow trail. Built to be easy, this short route includes a couple of jumps, a doubling bump, and one drop. It shares a similar feel with Ylläs Flow and is a perfect starting point for getting into the sport or warming up before hitting longer trails.
3. Appetizer 2,0 km
Starting from the top of the chairlift, this trail suits both beginners and more experienced riders. It features berms (banked turns), a few wooden bridges, jumps, and rollers. All jumps can be rolled over or bypassed at low speed, while faster riders will find plenty of flow and fun.
A separate jump line with three medium-sized table jumps is located on the western lower part of the trail.
Can be ridden with basic cycling skills at a calm pace. Faster riding requires more control and precision.
4. Air Flow 2,2 km
Over 2 km of trail, more than 50 jumps, and fast, sweeping berms and rollers – Air Flow offers all this and more. From the top of the chairlift, turn left and ride a few hundred meters to the starting point.
Expect plenty of table and double jumps, plus a few step-ups. The upper half is slightly easier, while the lower half is more technical with bigger jumps. The largest tables reach about 10 meters. Midway, there’s a connection to the Murica trail.
Fast riding requires line selection, speed control, jump technique, and full focus. All features can be rolled over slowly. Learn the trail before increasing speed. On windy days, be mindful of how the wind affects jumps.
5. Ylläs Flow 2,1 km
Opened in summer 2023, Ylläs Flow is one of Finland’s top long flow trails. The trail starts at the top of the chairlift, first meandering above the treeline with beautiful views, then diving into the lower forest.
It’s wide and beginner-friendly. At a calm pace, it can be enjoyed with basic bike skills and a sense of adventure. Gentle berms and rollers allow relaxed riding.
Experienced and fast riders enjoy the trail’s quick pace. It features plenty of well-rhythmed berms and jumps. In the open lower section, the trail connects to Appetizer trail, so please be mindful of riders coming from the other trail at the junction.
Ylläs Flow from top to bottom looks like this.
7. Luovi 0,7 km
A short enduro segment accessible from the chairlift. Features many tight turns, most of them off-camber. Technically demanding and great for improving handling skills.
8. Lower Twist 2,9 km
A continuation of the Enduro Twist trail, running through forest for about 500 meters. Return to the lifts by pedaling roughly 500 meters along a hiking trail.
9. Reindeer Rally 3,3 km
Starts from the top behind Restaurant Kammi. The upper part offers scenic views, wide lines, big berms, rollers of various sizes, and a few wide wooden bridges. There’s a rest stop halfway. Enduro Twist and Lower Twist split off near the treeline.
The lower forest section is narrower and mellower, with berms, one table jump, and a couple of rollers. These can be rolled over or jumped.
Riding this trail requires speed control, line choice, and some courage for the steeper berms.
10. Enduro Twist 3,2 km
Branches off from Reindeer Rally, turning into a natural-style enduro trail down to just below the Aurinko restaurant, where it reconnects to Reindeer Rally. Expect roots and rocks, some of them loose. The enduro segment is 900 meters long.
Requires control, good line choice, and skill to handle small obstacles.
11. 95980 Murica 3,4 km
Starts at the top station of the Gondola lift. The upper section is steeper and rougher than Reindeer Rally, with jumps that can be rolled or taken with more airtime. The rock-gap jump at the beginning demands precise speed and control; bypassable on the right.
After a long straight section, the trail becomes more technical with jumps, smaller berms, and corners requiring precision. At speed, it’s a joy to ride. After another straight, it turns sharply left into a rockier track.
Soon, the trail flows again with jumps, a dock-style double drop (bypassable on the right), boxes, and fast berms.
Before the treeline, you can branch off to Mr. Hankey (left), Full Enduro (straight), or Kirraa (left).
Requires speed control, line choice, and a bit of bravery. All features can be rolled or bypassed.
12. Mr. Hankey 2,9 km
Mr. Hankey is a route for those who enjoy challenging technical routes. Mr. Hankey branches off from Murica – turn left at the first intersection.
The first part of the route consists of technical rock sections, rock jumps and gaps, and small steeps. After a halfway, there are two large drops, and at the end, there is a 7-meter-long gap jump. No chicken lines – there are no detours on the drops. Also, pay attention to the landing lines. From the Mr. Hankey stage, you can access the lower parts of Air Flow and Murica.
The route is only for experts, very skilled mountain bikers. Riding the route requires precise control of speed and riding line, skills to cross larger obstacles and ride steeps, and the ability to ride bigger drops and jumps.
Familiarize yourself with the route carefully. If you stop, move to the side of the route. Do not stay in the landing areas of the jumps.
13. Kirraa 3,4 km
Branches left from Murica after a small wooden jump. It’s fairly steep with tight berms, stone steps, and a couple of jumps. The segment is about 300 meters long.
14. Full Enduro 3,9 km
The longest and most demanding enduro trail in Ylläs Bike Park. Splits off from Murica at the end of the second straight. Expect roots, rocks, fast sections, bridges, and loose stones. The trail descends steadily with little need for pedaling.
Requires constant focus, precise bike control, and careful line choice.
Return to the lifts via a marked transfer route (1.4 km). Note: the trail ends below the base of the lift, so returning requires pedaling uphill.
15. Pump Track
Bike, scooter, skateboard, longboard, balance bike, or rollerblades – everything works on the Ylläs Pump Track. Riding the pump track is fun and suitable for all ages and skill levels. Plus, riding the track helps improve your biking skills, coordination, strength, and technique.
The well-designed and excellently functioning pump track in Ylläs is a versatile course over 150 meters long. In addition to rollers and berms, it features a jump line, wall ride, and flat box.
On a pump track, speed is gained by pumping over the rollers. The faster you ride, the more challenging the track becomes. Ride counterclockwise, respect other users, and always wear a helmet.
